Practicer Asistencia Médica is based in Cartagena and has more than 30 years’ experience in the private health sector. It has set up a new service, the Hyperbaric Medical Unit, equipped with the staff and technical resources for dealing with underwater diving accidents and performing underwater risk prevention activities.
Because no public services are available in the provinces of Murcia, Alicante and Almeria 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Practiser saw the need to provide professional and amateur divers with a service for dealing with diving accidents.
The facilities at the Hyperbaric Medical Unit provide divers with a doctor’s surgery for diagnosing possible accidents, preventive treatment and recovery, compression, narcosis and tolerance to hyperbaric oxygen tests in appropriate safety conditions under close medical supervision.
With this new service, which has the requisite Hyperbaric Chamber for immersions, everyone who goes underwater diving can be sure that they comply with the legal requirements for this sport.
